Company History

Composite Prime was born in 2014, bringing together the expertise of our two founders Domenic Harrison and Charles Taylor.

Both with vast experience in their individual fields, the duo pooled their respective knowledge to create one of the fastest-growing composite companies in the UK.

Domenic is a member of the Harrison family who has led the way in the plastics industry for decades. In 1980, Domenic’s father, Geoff Harrison, was a founding member of Polypipe PLC, one of the biggest manufacturers of plastic piping systems in the world. Thanks to this experience, Domenic’s knowledge of plastics is second to none.

In contrast, the Taylor family has led the way in the timber industry for over 60 years, and Charles is now a third-generation timber merchant.

The pair realised that by combining their respective experience and expertise, they could create a product that both replicated the stunning aesthetics of natural timber while also bringing the longevity and low-maintenance qualities of plastic.

Now, more than 10 years on, customers can make use of composite decking, fences and cladding products that do not require regular treatments to keep them looking their best and are resistant to warping, cracking, splintering and other issues that are common with natural wooden products.

From these early beginnings, Composite Prime has gone from strength to strength, and we’re now established as the go-to company for composite products in the UK.

This can be demonstrated through our vast array of industry accreditations and work at industry events like the famous Chelsea Flower Show.
